Supported Independent Living
Learn more about ‘Supported Independent Living’
ExploreSixteen new residents will shortly move into Surrey County Council’s newly completed, purpose-built accommodation for people with learning disabilities and/or autism, on the site of the former Manor Primary School in Byfleet Village. The development comprises six one-bedroom flats and two 5-bedroom townhouses, with extensive landscaped gardens and state of the art smart technology to help residents learn to live independently.
This website was created in May 2022 to support community engagement undertaken before submitting the planning application - and it has been maintained throughout all stages of the project, from development of the design through award of planning consent through to completion of construction. The contractor’s newsletters and photographs showing the progress of the construction can be found here and you can follow the links below to discover full details about the project.
We have held consultation events for residents to take part and find out more. You can now watch the recordings.
